John Reddan Education believes in assisting people to develop their skills, knowledge, understandings and self-belief through professional development and training which connects with the learner and is engaging, practical and relevant to their context.

Most schools adopt a holistic approach in seeking to nurture the spiritual dimension of their communities.

This generally encompasses pastoral, service, worship and academic programs, however an issue facing many schools is how to genuinely support the teachers ‘at the chalk-face’ whose role it is to engage the students in a religious studies program that is both meaningful and engaging.

The level of expertise and understanding of this learning area among teachers can vary greatly which unsurprisingly can influence its positioning in the school curriculum as an academic subject.

 

John has worked extensively with schools in developing RAVE programs and with teachers, particularly in the primary and middle years of schooling, in developing inquiry-based, integrated units of study and resources to form part of a meaningful and engaging academic program.
